Gates halts Air Force cuts
The SecDef's budget proposal would halt reductions in the Air Force and Navy and finish enlarging the Army and Marine Corps, the tune of $11 billion, the New York Times reports.
Gates also included $2 billion for intelligence and surveillance equipment, including special forces spending and 50 new Predator and Reaper drones, according to the NYT.
